BPIE participating at the Building Action Symposium, COP23

The Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GABC) is organising the Building Action Symposium on November 9, 2017 in Bonn, in parallel with COP23.

The Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GABC) is an initiative launched at COP21, as part of the Lima Paris Action Agenda. It aims to mobilise all stakeholders, including member states and non-state actors from the Buildings and Construction sector to scale up climate actions in the sector. The GABC focuses on the achievement of the low-carbon and energy transition through fostering the development of appropriate policies for sustainable, energy efficient buildings, which allows a concrete value-chain transformation of the sector.

The Building Action Symposium aims to answer the following question: ‘how to achieve the Paris Agreement?’ by identifying key ingredients to achieving a low-carbon, energy efficient buildings and construction sector. Oliver Rapf, Executive Director of BPIE, will moderate the technical panel on how to achieve the SDGs and the Paris Agreement? – from 11.30 to 12.45.

Register here by 30 October 2017. The full agenda is available.
