Renovation of the German housing stock – an economic evaluation from an investor perspective

The article Renovation of the German housing stock – an economic evaluation from an investor perspective, authored by BPIE, Fraunhofer ISI and TU Wien, aims at determining the economic energy saving potential of buildings under different economic general conditions. This article is part of the Yearbook “Energy efficiency in buildings 2016”, which has become the standard work of housing and real estate business in Germany.

With more than 30 contributions by renowned authors such as Commissioner Arias Cañete or the Bavarian Minister of the Interior, for construction and transport, this yearbook attempts to illuminate the topic of energy efficiency in buildings in its complexity with chapters on political strategies and positions, the human factor, the tenant power, and more.
